A phenomenon that gives sensitive dependence to the initial conditions that we know as the "butterfly effect". The disfiguring of the geometry of the three forms expresses the denial of the form and its representation. Between a form and a form there is a form. To disfigure a form is to deform it in order to give it a form. Disfiguration that takes shape from a form that we almost never leave.In this process of disfiguration, a new form reveals itself when the old form disappears by the help of a radical gesture. The representation of each form is both; a re-presentation and a de-presentation which makes each form autonomous and independent. My forms here do not have an order or finality in their form which is not the same as saying that they have no value or meaning. It's an approach to the world that you just can't seem to find a global meaning to it. Am I a culture?Or, cultures encounter?, 2026 Frauenmuseum Bonn, Bonn, Germany Paper, glue, clayDimensions Variable (109 pieces) A field of small white forms rises from the ground like an improvised city, or a crowd — each one folded, wrapped, and left to dry into its own particular lean, fold, and posture. But before the paper fully sets, each form is pressed, smashed, pushed slightly out of shape. That crushing gesture is the piece: it stages the pressure every one of us absorbs from the cultures that pass through us and try to mold us into a single, recognizable shape. Some forms buckle easily. Others hold their line and resist, keeping a trace of their original form beneath the dent. None come out unmarked, and none come out the same as its neighbor. The work is not fixed. Viewers are invited to walk among the forms, pick them up, and move them wherever they choose — regrouping the crowd, breaking it apart, starting new clusters. Each rearrangement becomes a new answer to the question the piece keeps asking, without ever settling it: is identity a single culture, or is it what happens when cultures collide, resist, and reshape one another? Work presented as part of the group exhibition “KAIRO AM RHEIN / CAIRO ON THE RHINE”, initiated and organised by the artist and curator Yasemin Yilmaz in collaboration with the Frauenmuseum Bonn and
